Keyboard: CTRL + L (cut text); SHIFT + DEL(cut text and carriage return); CTRL + X(cut text and carriage return); CTRL + SHIFT + L (delete)
Command: Edit.LineCut; Edit.Cut; Edit.Cut; Edit.LineDelete

These hotkeys are really handy.
