Visual Studio Error: "A Command with that name already exists."

by Mark Shiffer 9/12/2007 8:35:00 AM
This error can occur when starting up Visual Studio (2005). Running Visual Studio with the /setup option can help to resolve this issue. I have not found a specific cause for this error, but it has happened more than once to me on VS Team for Developers, and I do not have any addins beyond what Microsoft installs.

Russ

Try opening studio with "/ResetSkipPkgs" on the command line. That fixed it up for me
